Car security while you are away
1. Do not leave removable items, especially valuable ones, visible anywhere in the car.
2. Ensure that the steering column is locked.
3. Double check the doors and windows after locking them.
4. Remove the car radio panel and put it out of sight. The front panel is usually a detachable unit.
5. Check that you have switched off all external and internal lights and other battery-draining units, lest you return to find your battery flat.
6. Turn on the car alarm.
